I wrote a quick post last week about the history between Ja Morant and referee Ray Acosta. Quick recap: About a year ago, Morant was ejected by Acosta after saying something to courtside fans. His father, Tee, got involved. FaceTime calls were made. It was a whole thing.

But like most NBA conflicts featuring an embattled superstar, there's more to it, I have learned. And according to reporting here at The Finder, it is quite clear that the NBA and its referees learned about it this week too.

Here’s what’s new. Immediately after the game, Morant spoke to a local OKC reporter in the locker room about the incident, and characterized Acosta as “being a ho.”
