It’s Monday! Time for Tom’s Title Tiers!
Not much has changed since last Monday’s edition. Media day has come and gone, and with it, so has Jimmy Heat World. Training camp has commenced, and actual (preseason) games are being played!
James Harden has been dutifully practicing with the 76ers, which makes things a little clearer in some ways, more confusing in others. But more or less, the title picture is similar to last week’s inaugural edition.
As a reminder: This is my subjective list based largely on objective data. This is not a pure, analytical ranking. You’re here because you want to know what I think, to get inside my brain a little bit. Consider this a weekly report of what I see on film; what I glean from the numbers; what I hear on the phone; what I read in the news; what I feel.
Just like I did with the Oklahoma City Thunder last week, I’m going to feature one team each week with a more in-depth writeup.
This week’s featured contender: the Sacramento Kings.
I’ll go a little deeper later, but here’s a quick rundown of each tier.
Tom’s Title Tiers
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is a complete team, no notes.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just missing that one thing.
⭐⭐⭐ One move away from being one move away.
⭐⭐ So much has to break right.
⭐ Sooo you’re saying there’s a chance.
So, where do I put Sacramento among the rest of the contenders?
Let’s find out.
